Mandel Center's Faculty Council Alters Curriculum and Delivery Format of Graduate Programs

The Mandel Center's Faculty Council, whose members represent the four Case schools with which the Center is affiliated, continues to fine-tune both the curriculum and the delivery format of our graduate programs in response to student input and key developments in the field. For example, the economics and marketing courses have been increased to three credit hours each, and the strategic planning practicum is now offered in an intensive weekend format. Council members are currently reviewing the balance of required and elective courses.

The Mandel Center and the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences have long collaborated in offering both a dual degree program (MNO/MSSA - Master of Nonprofit Organizations and Master of Science in Social Administration) and a dual credential program (MSSA/CNM - Master of Science in Social Administration and Certificate in Nonprofit Management). As a result of the Mandel School's recent decision to close its management track, social work students interested in a managerial focus will be advised to enter the Certificate in Nonprofit Management program. We feel that our collaboration will enhance national recruitment and will play on the strengths of both a top rated social work program and an outstanding nonprofit management program.
