The Main E-vent
Susan Eagan Dear Friends of the Mandel Center,

Welcome to the inaugural issue of Nonprofit-E-Notes -- a new bi-monthly electronic newsletter produced by the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Case Western Reserve University. This new format allows us to engage larger numbers of readers with a more efficient and cost-effective means of distribution. In future issues you can look forward to items such as descriptions of current faculty research, timely and helpful information regarding the nonprofit sector, and alumni and student profiles. Along with Nonprofit-E-Notes, the Mandel Center has also developed a new family of recruitment materials and other marketing and communication vehicles bearing the new Case brand. Within the next few months, we will also launch a redesigned website.

We are also continuing to expand professional development programs, information, and services for nonprofit leaders. These include "Leaders' Links", a peer-to-peer learning program for executive directors and a newly-launched workshop and technical assistance program on strategic alliances. We are also very pleased to announce that the Mandel Center is collaborating with the Foundation Center-Cleveland office to feature on the Foundation Center's website an ongoing series of interviews with our faculty and community leaders on topics of high importance to nonprofit organizations.

As part of our efforts to enhance our organization's effectiveness, we have realigned staff responsibilities to support the achievement of our strategic goals. Please click here to view our staff list and accompanying responsibilities.

I invite feedback from you regarding the new electronic newsletter and ways in which it could be more informative and helpful to you. Please contact our webmaster with your comments and suggestions. Stay tuned for expanded issues of Nonprofit-E-Notes in the coming year and my best wishes to you in 2004.

Sincerely,

Susan Lajoie Eagan
Executive Director
