- The ultimate result is a plan that will serve as a strategic blueprint for alumni engagement and collaboration
- Newly crafted mission statement: The mission of the Alumni Association of the Mandel Center is to build and sustain, among alumni and between alumni and the Mandel Center, lifelong, mutually beneficial relationships that engage and serve alumni while supporting and promoting the Center.
- In an effort to reach out to and engage as many alumni as possible, a new and innovative structure for the Association has been developed
- Replace the current Alumni Association structure with a four-person Steering Committee coordinated by a Chair and Vice-Chair
- Establish ad hoc committees to respond to current and changing needs and interests of the Mandel Center and/or alumni such as student recruitment, fundraising, and knowledge transfer
- Other strategic goals include:
- Strengthen relationships and communications among alumni and between alumni and the Mandel Center
- Advance the Mandel Center and its goals through strategic alumni support
- Advise the Mandel Center, alumni, and the community regarding emerging nonprofit sector trends and issues
- Provide professional development opportunities for Mandel Center alumni and students
