Meet "Puppy"
This greyhound-inspired robot was bred for motion. “Puppy” is one of several robots being developed at Case Western Reserve University to help researchers understand how different body styles affect locomotion.

Puppy appears to be headless, but he does have a brain; all his thinking is done on a desktop computer. Weighing in at 22 pounds, additional head weight would only slow Puppy down. He is powered by “air muscles,” which keep him tethered to a pressurized air supply. The power source acts like a leash, meaning this mostly-aluminum version of man’s best friend won’t be walking independently any time soon.
