Liz grew up in San Diego, California and earned her B.A. with honors from the University of California, Irvine before completing her MA in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Cincinnati. Liz seeks to advocate and support all LGBTQIA students, faculty, staff and alumni by providing them with resources, connections and information. She also provides the Safe Zone workshops to campus constituents every semester, with almost 400 individuals having completed the workshop since the program’s inception in March 2010. Her office is located in the LGBT Center, off of the Hart Crane Reading Room and she welcomes all visitors either by appointment or drop-in. In her spare time Liz attempts to perfect her butterfly swim stroke, make copious amounts of her signature guacamole and hang out with her partner and close friends.

From Cleveland, Cassie Bucceri is majoring in Poltical Science here at Case Western Reserve University. Intent on being the first female president of the United States, she aspires to end animal cruelty. At this very moment in time, she is very thrilled to be working at the LGBT center with her fellow peers.

Celena Kopinski is a junior medical anthropology, psychology and business student who shamelessly dabbles in physics and art who is still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up.

Mike, a native of the Detroit area, is currently a sophomore studying aerospace engineering. He is a self-professed virtual flight enthusiast and francophone, and intends to move to Europe before he gets old. Stop in and say hi if you’re ever in a pickle or just want to chat!

Tyler is a sophomore from Avon Lake, Ohio currently studying biomedical engineering and computer engineering. He enjoys listening to country music and reading horror stories in his spare time. He’s also extremely excited to be working at the LGBT center this year!

Brian is a second year student who is still unsure about his major, but is currently considering pursing a double major in computer science and economics. In his free time he enjoys playing board games with his fraternity brothers friends.
