Getting social with LL.M. is a piece of cake. Check out these tips and instructions to get you started:
1. Go to the LL.M. Google Map. If you're not already logged into a Google account (i.e., an email address that ends with '@gmail.com'), click the 'Sign in' link in the upper-right corner of the page.
2. Type an address, city name or other location description into the search bar at the top of the page, between the Google Maps logo and the 'Search Maps' button. Then click the 'Search Maps' button.
3. The location you've just entered will load into the map with a red placemark on it. Click the placemark (most likely a red pinpoint placemarker labeled with the letter 'A'). A bubble will load above the pinpoint with blue-linked options at the bottom of the bubble.
4. In the bubble, click the 'Save to...' link. The bubble will expand to show a 'Save to My Maps' option. Choose "Case Western Reserve School of Law LL.M. Program" from the drop-down options and click the 'Save' button.
5. Once saved, you'll see Google dialog at the top of the map that say your point has been saved. You can either click the 'view map' link shown or visit the map here: LL.M. Google Map.

3. A bubble will load over the point on the map. Add the name or description of the location (i.e., John P.'s first law firm job at Smith and Jones LLP, Beth Q.'s law school: T University in Taiwan, Jim T.'s current firm: Johnson and Jones LLP) in the 'Title' field. Feel free to add more description, images and links in the 'description 'field.
4. When you're done editing, click 'OK.'
5. Click the 'Done' button near the upper-right of the page, just below the 'Google Maps' logo to finish the process.
1. Visit twitter.com. Either log into your account or sign up for one.
2. In the text box below the heading "what's happening?" type what you want to share with the world — what are you thinking about, what are you doing today, what interesting article have you read, what event is coming, what classes are you taking, how's the weather? — in 140 characters (spaces count) or fewer.
3. Click the 'Tweet' button.
4. Ta-da! you've tweeted.
Tagging in Twitter can mean two things:
1. You can tag another user whom you follow by typing the '@' symbol immediately followed by the user's name (i.e., if I wanted to tag the university's research news twitter account, thinkintweets, I'd type @thinkintweets).
2. You can also label and track specific topics and dates with hashtags. What's a hashtag? It's the '#' sign followed by a word or phrase (no spaces) that describes a topic or event. For example, if you're tweeting about fun things to do in Cleveland, you might tag the twitter post with hashtag #happyinCLE. Or if you're tweeting about topics from your international law class, you might label it with #internationallaw. When tweeted, hashtags will appear as linked text. Click on the hashtags to see other posts with the same tags, track conversation or find new ones.
