UNIFIED MESSAGING

 
 

Features

 

Unified Messaging includes all of the standard voicemail functions, including some new features.  The fax features will be introduced in Fall of 2006.

 

Voicemail Features using Telephone Interface

  • Listen to new and saved messages
  • Forward a message to another UM mailbox
  • Reply to a message by recording a voicemail or by calling them back right from the mailbox
  • Get time, date, and telephone number of the person calling
  • Rewind and fast forward message by 6 second increments
  • Increase and decrease the volume of the call
  • Send voicemail messages to individuals or groups from your mailbox

Voicemail Features using Computer Interface

  • Subject line includes calling telephone number or name and length of message
  • Voice message is attached as a .wav file
  • Email with voice message attachment may be forwarded to any email address
  • Email with voice message may be moved to folders and stored with other emails
  • Messages are delivered to both the Inbox and to an IMAP folder, so that POP3 users can still access their messages through the telephone.  For more information, see FAQ # 2 .
