Technology Skills Inventory

Below is the ITS Technology Skills Inventory form that you can download. It requires Microsoft Word. Review the list of pointers below for saving and using the form:

  1. To download the form, click on the link below and save it to your computer
In Netscape, choose to Save this file to disk rather than running it from its current location
In Internet Explorer, right-click on the link and choose Save target as and specify a location on your computer where you will save the document.
  2. Open the downloaded file using Microsoft Word (the form works on both Windows and Macintosh computers).
  3. You might want to give the file a new name to make it unique for the time when you return the completed form. For example, include your Case User ID as part of its name: mxc41_SkillsInventory.doc
  4. To use the form, click on a gray box to activate the typing area. You can use the <tab> key to move from box to box or click on the desired box with the mouse. Available typing areas include the Name and Department fields at the top, the education and experience questions on the first page, and the blank skills table.
  5. Save your work as you would any other file; this will enable you to return to the form and work on it at a later time.
  6. When you are done completing the form, send it to itsskills@case.edu via e-mail as an attachment. You do not need to sign the form as long as you return it from an e-mail account that includes your Case User ID.
  7. Print a copy for your own records.
