CWRU Google Apps is a new collaboration suite of services that includes a 7+ GB case.edu email account, access to Google Sites, and Google Talk (IM).  Students have already been moved to Google Apps.

We have moved to CWRU Google email. If you have not transitioned, your email is now going to your new Google mailbox.

If you are not receiving any new email since February 2nd, please follow the instructions on this page to migrate your mail OR contact the help desk at 216-368-help or http://help.case.edu

Instructions for new Faculty & Staff

1. Activate your Case User ID
2. Go to webmail.case.edu to set up your new mailbox and agree to the Google Terms of Service.  This is the URL you should bookmark for accessing your CWRU Google Mail.  Click on the links below to print out instructions and information on setting up your Google Apps account.

How to Transition Training Manual
Please note that the more messages that you move to Google from iPlanet, the longer your transition time may be.

1. Convert your mailbox to use CWRU Google Mail by going to the provisioning page at https://its-services.case.edu/my-case-identity/google-apps/ (Instructions).
2. Then go to webmail.case.edu to set up your new mailbox and agree to the Google Terms of Service.  This is the URL you should bookmark for accessing your CWRU Google Mail. 
3. After setting up your mail to use Google, you can use the Move Migration tool (Instructions) to move your old mail into your Google account. Please note that the more messages that you move to Google from iPlanet, the longer your transition time may be.
4. If you have contacts in your iPlanet mail, you can move them using the Contacts Migration Tool (Instructions)
   

PLEASE NOTE: If you have not already provisioned to Google Mail a Google account has been created for you as part of this mail migration and any iPlanet forwarding you have set up will be copied to your Google account.  Before mail forwarding will take effect, you must log in at http://webmail.case.edu and agree to the Google Terms of Service. If you do not log in and agree to the Google Terms of Service your mail will be placed in your Google mailbox and you will need to move that mail manually. 

Instructions for CWRU Alumni

If you want to continue forwarding your CWRU email:

1. Convert your mailbox to use CWRU Google Mail by going to the provisioning page at https://its-services.case.edu/my-case-identity/google-apps/ (Instructions).
2. Then go to webmail.case.edu to set up your new mailbox and agree to the Google Terms of Service.  This is the URL you should bookmark for accessing your CWRU Google Mail.
3. Click on the Settings link in the top right and then the Forwarding and POP/IMAP link. In the Forwarding section click the button to Forward a copy of incoming mail to and enter the email address and how you want it to handle messages from the drop down box.
4. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

If you use a client such as Outlook or Thunderbird to read your email, print out the appropriate instructions for your IMAP or POP mailbox.
