CWRU Google Apps

Case Information Technology Services is now offering CWRU Google Apps, a new collaboration suite of services that includes a case.edu email account, calendar, IM and shared documents.  CWRU Google Mail includes a 6.7 GB mailbox, a Google calendar, Google Sites, and Google Talk (IM).

All students must be on CWRU Google Mail by May, 2009.  For this reason, we are requiring all entering students to immediately sign up for CWRU Google Mail.  Graduating students who wish to keep their case.edu email address after graduation should follow this link to sign up for CWRU Google Mail.  Seniors who currently forward their Case email to another account should also follow that link.

Information for All New Users

To activate your Google Mail, follow this link.   Sign in using your Case User ID and password.  Choose the radio button Send my Case email to Google Apps (webmail.case.edu).  (Faculty and Staff may choose another radio button.)  Create a password and then click on Enable my Google Account.  A confirmation screen will appear with a green box.  Webmail users should click on the webmail.case.edu link in the green box to set up their new mailbox.  This is the URL you should bookmark for viewing your CWRU Google Mail.

Access to Email using Outlook orThunderbird

If you use a client such as Outlook or Thunderbird to read your email, print out the appropriate instructions shown below:

POP3 means that your emails are downloaded directly to your computer when you are connected to the Case network.  Once emails are downloaded to your computer, they cannot be accessed through the web.  New messages that have not yet been downloaded to your computer can be viewed at webmail.case.edu.
