Getting Access to PeopleSoft Financials

The steps you take to obtain access to the system will depend on what modules to which you request access.

Accounts Payable, eProcurement and General Ledger

  1. An individual from your department who already has access to the system must fill out a Security Form on your behalf. A series of electronic approvals will begin.

  2. Take the appropriate training based on the access requested.

  3. You will receive an email notification that you access has been granted once you have completed steps 1 and 2 and been approved by the required individuals.

Financials Reporting System

An individual from your department who already has access to the system must fill out the Reporting Access tab on the Security Form.


SmartCART is accessible if you have access to eProcurement in Peoplesoft Financials. Review the manual for more information. Window Shoppers are individuals who do not have access to PeopleSoft Financials but can still shop and create carts in SmartCART. A user with access to PeopleSoft Financials then approves the orders.

  1. Fill out the Window Shopper access form.
  2. Take the online training.
    Go to Log in with your CWRU Network ID and password.
    Click on the Training Catalog.
    Select Window Shopper Training. Click the Enroll button.
  3. Complete the training at your own pace.
  4. Pass the test with a score of 80% or higher.
  5. You will receive an email from the Procurement Office when you have approved for access.

Changing Your Access to Financials

You may update your security by logging in to PeopleSoft Financials, opening the CWRU Online Security Form>New Security Requests, and clicking the 'Change User Profile' button after entering your CWRU Network ID.
