ITS Values Statement
Over the course of a year, the management and staff of the Division of Information Technology Services participated in multiple sessions to discern its core values and create a statement to describe those values. The following statement was approved at the October 14, 2008 All Hands meeting.
Governing our visions, decisions, and behavior are our core values, which guide the way we work within ITS and with our customers and the community, both as individuals and as teams.

We revere honesty and adhere to the highest ethical standards in our daily work. We provide timely and complete performance reporting, and encourage transparency in our operations. We vigorously protect the security of sensitive information that is entrusted to us.

We work in a collaborative, cooperative, team-driven environment that encourages both individual and shared excellence in striving to achieve our goals. We value the mutual respect that true teamwork entails.

We believe that creativity of individuals is one of our most valuable resources and that it has an important place in the organization. Leveraging our creativity allows us to produce the innovative products required to serve our customers and increases our enjoyment of our work.

As a service organization, we strive to produce consistently high quality work, both as a source of pride and in order to provide superior service to our customers.

The opportunity to engage in rewarding work is what motivates us to tackle the challenges we face every day in creating and maintaining complex systems and services that are critical to the operations of the University.
