The following listing is an overview of the hardware, software, and configurations covered under the PerceptIS Care Package plan.  For further questions regarding this page,  please contact us at the Enterprise Service Center (368-4357).

Supported Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Windows XP & Windows 2000.
  • Mac OS 10.3 and 10.2. Mac OS 9 is supported when running within OS X.
Supported Hardware
  • Systems must have been purchased in the last 5 years.
  • Dell, Apple and Motion Computing are currently the brands of choice at Case and are currently available on the ITS eStore. Other brands are supported however, some hardware platforms may not work as part of the University’s environment and some issues may not be resolved.
Supported Software
  • Software available on the Case Software Center for Apple and Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Additional software will be supported however, some software outside of the Software Center may not work as part of the University’s environment and some issues may not be resolved.
Peripherals
  • PerceptIS will assist with the installation and configuration of drivers for peripherals.  However, maintenance, repair and hardware troubleshooting is not included as part of the Care Package. Please contact the manufacturer for support.
Restrictions
  • Warranty hardware repair will be provided for Case owned Dell computers. For all other systems, please contact your vendor for support.
  • Systems used as servers (i.e. hosting websites, sharing files, sharing printers, domain controllers etc.) are not supported as part of the basic support.
  • Onsite service will be available in the University Circle area. Walk-In Centers located at Case Western Reserve University provide a convenient carry-in service for individuals located outside of University Circle. System transportation and delivery is the user’s responsibility.
