15" G4 Powerbook Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5

  1. Any system MUST have Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) capability.
  2. An external media converter such as the Netgear GC102 and the appropriate cables will be needed to connect any system to the fiber optics ports.
  3. These Processor speeds are currently regarded as "top of the line". Since processor speeds increase frequently, these specifications will change periodically to reflect the most current "top of the line" processor available. Additionally, laptops running windows should use the Centrino processor.
  4. The University currently supports ONLY 802.11B/G wireless protocols. We recommend, if possible, that users buy wireless cards or systems that also include the 802.11A protocol so that they may maximize their portability and connect their systems in other environments.
