Rich Media and Participatory Culture - The Experience of YouTube and iTunes in Higher Education
Description:
A growing number of institutions are adopting popular distributed media platforms such as YouTube and iTunes U to extend the reach of their campus. These platforms extend the viewership of content from a local audience of thousands to a global audience of millions. The panel will discuss the differences and similarities of these platforms and ways in which they have been deployed in higher education.

New Frontiers in Video-Based Collaboration: Adobe Connect and Lifesize
Description:
This session will feature two state-of-the-art networked video collaboration tools: LifeSize High-Definition videoconferencing and Adobe Connect web-conferencing. The panel will discuss the fundamental differences between videoconferencing and web-conferencing and the effective application of each.
