Meet the Bloggers: Community Thought Leadership and Touching New Audiences
Blogging has become an important means for discussion on almost every topic. It can also become an important voice for change within communities and organizations. This panel explores the role of blogging in our communities, whether they are organized around geography, politics, concept or topic. It will examine such questions as whether blogging can affect change and increase public discourse and participation.

It's also a place you go to find information on people, and where those same people go to find information on you. Learn how having a weblog lets you take control of what people "Google-stalking" you find.

Presenter: Ben Schechter - Case School of Dentistry
Topic: Migrating content to Wiki Platform
Abstract: Dr. Schechter will discuss the evolution of the Case Dentistry clinical manual and its journey from print to its current manifestation; MediaWiki. He will discuss why MediaWiki is the appropriate software, how it is being used, ways to support editorial review.

Abstract: The mission is to build a reliable, state-of-the-art information resource on bridge rehabilitation, with a focus on decision-making and on the engineering design of rehabilitation projects. Bill and Dario will walk us through the process of using Wiki software to create an on-line, academic community of experts around the world that can collaborate on bridge rehabilitation topics.
