How do I access Blackboard?

Log-in to Blackboard using your CWRU Network ID and password at blackboard.case.edu

I've logged into Blackboard. Now what?

Once you login to Blackboard, you are automatically taken to the "My Institution" tab. This tab gives you a list of your courses, organizations, and shows any administrator announcements. To access a course, simply click on its name.

I am trying to create a new Blackboard site using the Blackboard Wizard, but it's not listed.

If the Wizard displays a message indicating that you are not assigned to any courses as an instructor, make sure you are listed in SIS as the instructor of record. You will need to work with your department and the Registar's Office to determine if you’ve been added to your courses as an instructor in SIS. The option to create your site will not be available in the Wizard until you are the instructor in SIS.

Where can I find a course site from a previous semester?

As a student, previous course sites may or may not be available, depending on how the instructor has managed the site. If you need access to an old site, please contact your instructor directly.

As an instructor, your sites should be available permanently unless they have been deleted using the Wizard. If you suspect a site has accidentally been removed, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 216.368.HELP (4357) or at help.case.edu
