The Center for International Affairs and the Department of Theater in the College of Arts and Sciences has launched the first CWRU-developed, semester-long study abroad program. The CWRU in London program, a collaboration between CWRU and the Royal Academy of Art (RADA), explores European Theater History with a curriculum developed exclusively for CWRU.
This semester, eight CWRU in London students are participating in this inaugural opportunity to pursue a rigorous academic study of European theater history, while sharpening their theatrical skills through classes in voice, clown, physical performance, dance, combat, and singing - all supported by tutorials and seminars. The program is designed to attract CWRU students, as well as students from other universities who are looking for a distinctive RADA experience while receiving credit and support from the faculty at CWRU. All students will earn CWRU credit.
The Center for International Affairs has plans to launch additional CWRU in programs in a variety of locations. These future programs will provide our students and others across the United States unique and experiential learning semesters while earning CWRU credit. Departments interested in partnering with the Center to develop these programs should contact Molly Watkins, Executive Director for International Affairs.
