This past spring, CWRU met with Ambassador Sun Guoxiang, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in New York to discuss the scholarship program and in August a memorandum of understanding was signed formalizing the commitment.
The opening of the scholarship application process coincides with the announcement of the United States and the People’s Republic of China approving a reciprocal visa agreement. The new arrangement will allow American and Chinese students to receive multiple-entry visas for a longer amount of time, in essence increasing the ease of students traveling back and forth.
Students interested in applying for one of the scholarships should contact the Office of Education Abroad at email@example.com.
