The World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Research and Clinical Training in Home Care Nursing is one of ten World Health Organization Collaborating Centers in the United States and one of 38 in the world.
A relationship with Wuhan University allows undergraduate nursing students to pursue a ten-week senior capstone experience in China. Other seniors pursue capstones throughout the world, putting to use in remote, real-world settings what they’ve learned in class and during their clinical hours.
Nursing students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by volunteering in a local clinic or hospital in Guatemala for ten days with Refuge International. In San Raymundo, students treated over 800 people and worked in many different areas of nursing.
