MGMT 315: International Management Institute- Deadline to apply March 1
Get to know more about business in China and earn 3 credit hours!  This semester, Weatherhead is offering its MGMT 315 program with Tongji University in Shanghai, China with visits to Beijing and Xi’an.  The program begins with two pre-sessions held during March/April at Case before departure for China following the completion of spring final exams.  We purposely run the program the two weeks following spring finals so that students are able to return in time to participate in full summer internships.  Students will attend a series of lectures focused on business in China, tour Chinese companies and visit several Chinese museums and landmarks.  The program is conducted entirely in English, but students will have the opportunity to learn a little Mandarin while abroad.  Students must be in good academic standing to participate, but there are no prerequisites and students of any major are welcome to enroll.
We attempt to keep the program costs to a minimum and allow students to make their own flight arrangements.  This year the program cost is $1,550, not including the cost of airfare or all meals.  The program cost includes hotel, airport transportation, local transportation, fees for professional and cultural visits, some meals and trip to Beijing and Xi’an (transportation, hotel, and any prearranged activities/visits).  Because students register for the course as part of their spring load, there is no additional tuition expense associated with the class.  If a visa is required it is the responsibility of the student to obtain the necessary documentation, although we will assist with documents required for visa processing. Course is open to all CWRU undergraduates.  Questions or to sign up contact Tiffany Welch at
tjw5@case.edu or (216) 368-2058.
