Bob Brown is Treasurer of Case Western Reserve University. He is responsible for managing the University’s long-term debt portfolio, derivatives, short-term investments, treasury operations, bank facilities, and credit rating agency relationships. He also oversees the University’s insurance and risk management program.
Prior to joining Case Western Reserve in 2007, Mr. Brown was Capital Markets Advisor at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Previously, he managed the public finance department for Key Capital Markets, the investment banking subsidiary of KeyCorp, and he was a senior investment banker at Lehman Brothers in New York.
In addition to his most recent work at U.S. DOT, Mr. Brown’s public sector experience includes several stints with both the Federal and State governments. During his military service, he was an engineering officer on the staff of the late Admiral Hyman G. Rickover, the father of the U.S. Navy’s nuclear power program.
Mr. Brown practiced law with the firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in Cleveland, and he also practiced and taught at the Institute for Public Interest Representation at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington.
Mr. Brown is a long-time member, appointed by President Clinton and re-appointed by President Bush, of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, the operator of Washington National and Washington Dulles Airports. He chairs the Board’s Finance Committee. Mr. Brown also is a member, appointed by Governor Strickland, of Ohio’s Transportation Review Advisory Council. Other current non-profit board memberships include University Circle Incorporated and the Medical Center Company.
Mr. Brown earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S.E. with high honors in aeronautical engineering from Princeton University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received an LL.M. from Georgetown University.

Twyla Miller joined the Office of the Treasurer in 1996. She handles money transfers, cash management, debt servicing and other Treasury duties. She earned her BS in Accounting from Youngstown State University her MBA at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case.

Donzetta Darden joined the Office of the Treasurer in 1999. She handles the University's daily cash reports and transfers, provides administrative assistance, and manages the office. She is studying at Cleveland State University for her Bachelor of Arts degree.
