Airlines
Cleveland Hopkins International (CLE) is the largest airport in Ohio by passenger volume (OAG, July, 2011). The city is served by a number of major airlines with nonstop and connecting service to most major U.S. population centers, as well as major worldwide destinations. United Airlines maintain a hub in Cleveland with over 150 daily departures. Mainline non-stop destinations includes Newark, N.J., Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Seattle, Houston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, Ft Meyers, Boston, New York, Chicago, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Cancun, Mexico. United/Continental-affiliated regional aircraft provide nonstop service to a host of additional cities.
Other airlines and airline-affiliates include Southwest, Delta, American, USAir, Air Canada, USA 3000, and Frontier.
Arriving passengers retrieve baggage in the lower floor of the central ticketing concourse regardless of their arrival terminal (A, B, C, D). Baggage claim information is displayed on a number of LCD screens linking baggage carrousel numbers to arriving flights. Travelers can conveniently choose a number of Transportation options via the baggage claim area.
Public Transportation
There are a number of transportation options for arriving and departing air travelers. The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority operates the Red Line rapid transit rail service to both Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland and to the East 105th and Cedar Avenue station. From the East 105th station, travelers can walk to many points on campus or board CWRU and/or University Hospital shuttle buses. RTA rail service travel time is approximately 40 minutes from Hokpins to the East 105/Cedar station. Frequency is approximately every 20 minutes on weekdays, 30 to 60 minutes on weekends and holidays when there are no major downtown sporting events. The Airport Red Line Station is located via a down escalator below the arriving passenger baggage carrousels. Standard adult one way fares are $2.25. All-day passes are $5.00 each.

Rental Cars
The Hopkins Airport Car Rental facility houses a variety of rental car companies. Board shuttle busses to the facility outside baggage claim area. CWRU-preferred rental car agencies National and Enterprise offer negotiated discounts for both university-related and personal rentals.

Shuttles and Taxis
With the exception of the Sheraton Airport hotel, CWRU preferred hotel vendors located downtown and at University Circle do not offer free shuttle service to their properties from Cleveland Hopkins. Taxi service is available outside the baggage claim level.
Inter-City Bus Transportation
Scheduled inter-city bus transportation is provided by Greyhound and Megabus. Greyhound provides comprehensive service to numerous cities and towns in North America. The Greyhound terminal is located at 1465 Chester Avenue, just north of Playhouse Square and northwest of Cleveland State University. This station is a walkable distance from the high-frequency RTA Healthline bus route running along Euclid Avenue from CWRU.
Megabus provides direct service from downtown Cleveland to Chicago and Pittsburgh. Onward connections are provided to a variety of other cities. Local pick-ups and drop-offs are on the north side of Tower City Center at the intersection of West Prospect and W 6th St. Megabus operates without terminals.
Inter-City Rail
Scheduled inter-city rail transportation is provided by Amtrak. Amtrak's major Midwest/East regional routes run through Chicago, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Buffalo, and New York City.

With appropriate forms and approvals, reservations and direct payment for certain local hotels may be arranged for hotel room /room tax through this agency.
