Toll charges and parking fees, when supported by receipts, are reimbursable in addition to the mileage allowance. Quick guide:
For travel between 1/1/07 --> $.485

Beginning Jan. 1, 2008, the IRS standard mileage rates for the use of a car (including vans, pickups or panel trucks) will be:

50.5 cents per mile for business miles driven

Meal Allowance

The actual cost of meals, including taxes and tips, while on business is reimbursable. Receipts are required if the total cost of a meal exceeds- the University meal allowance. CASE has reviewed the ten most traveled cities and has chosen a standard meal allowance for all travel when receipts are not available. This breaks down to:

Breakfast
$10.00
Lunch
$12.00
Dinner
$26.00

NOTE: The meal allowance is NOT a per diem; it assumes actual expenses have been incurred.

Frequent Flyer Programs

Participation in the various airlines' corporate rewards programs allows the university to earn rewards which can be used to contain costs. In addition, the traveler will continue to earn the individual benefits associated with these programs

Continental Airlines' RewardOne Program

Case Western Reserve University is now participating in Continental Airlines' RewardOne program for small, medium, or large companies! As a RewardOne member, both the traveler and the university can earn travel rewards when flying Continental. You earn frequent flyer miles toward your own travel rewards through Continental's award-winning OnePass frequent flyer program and Case will also accumulate points. The corporate points will be used to reduce the university's overall air travel spend. If you are not already a OnePass member, please enroll in Continental's OnePass Rewards program by clicking on the following site:

To support the RewardOne program, provide your OnePass number to the Case Travel Office (travel@case.edu). Be sure to use it when booking through our preferred agencies, http://www.continental.com, and include it with every university travel reservation on Continental Airlines.
