What is WeCar?

WeCar is a membership-based, automated car-share rental option that offers a sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective transportation alternative to the CWRU community. Initially, two WeCar vehicles will be pre-positioned in two campus garages for student, faculty, and staff use. Vehicles can be rented by the hour, daily, and overnight. Program pricing includes gasoline, as well as a mileage allowance. WeCar is a program of university-preferred vendor Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Rates

Rates start at $8/hour and $35 overnight (6pm - 8am). Membership includes fuel, maintenance, and up to 200 miles per day, and damage/liability protection for users age 18 and over. The student membership fee of $35 is waived for the first year. (credit applied toward rentals). There is an application fee for faculty and staff.

Longer Rentals

If you need a vehicle for a more extended period, consider using CWRU's contract rates with nearby Enterprise Rent-A-Car on 3200 Mayfield Road. Find the rates codes for business and personal travel here.

WeCar is offering a free first-year membership to former City Wheel members. Call Ann Washko (440 452 5286) for assistance.
