What is Enterprise CarShare?

Enterprise CarShare is a membership-based, automated car-share rental option that offers a sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective transportation alternative to the CWRU community. Initially, two Enterprise CarShare vehicles will be pre-positioned in two campus garages for student, faculty, and staff use. Vehicles can be rented by the hour, daily, and overnight. Program pricing includes gasoline, as well as a mileage allowance. Enterprise CarShare is a program of university-preferred vendor Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Enterprise Carshare is the re-rebranding of WeCar (also owned by Enterprise Holdings). The company, vehicles, and service are exactly the same. The transition to Enterprise CarShare began on April 15th, 2013 and involves changes to website and vehicle graphices/branding. There will be no other changes. CWRU is part of a 70+ college and university contingent of users across the U.S. that are members of the Enterprise CareShare family.

Rates

Rates start at $8/hour and $35 overnight (6pm - 8am). Membership includes fuel, maintenance, and up to 200 miles per day, and damage/liability protection for users age 18 and over. The student membership fee of $35 is waived for the first year. (credit applied toward rentals). There is an application fee for faculty and staff.
