1998-1999 Annual Report

SUMMARY OF FACILITATION , APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY AND PLANNING METHODS

Campus Services utilized a multi-phased process to develop the 99/00 operating plan. The process was as follows:
  • Individual meetings of the various units to review accomplishments and begin to develop goals for 99/00. Staff members facilitated these meetings and AI techniques were utilized.
  • Management staff attended a retreat facilitated by Tony Lingham at Gwinn Estate. Through discovery, dream and design exercises the group explored how to create a new vision which will help us deliver our planned goals for next year. Five top values were identified which helped drive the actual goal setting process.
  • Individual working units then conducted follow up meetings to share results of the management retreat and develop final plans for 99/00.
