SECURITY ALERT

The following incident did not occur on campus and the victim is not affiliated with the University, however because of the proximity, CWRU Protective Services would like the University community to be aware of the incident.

THE FOLLOWING INCIDENT OCCURRED ON: Tuesday, July 8

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Homicide

LOCATION OF INCIDENT: 1990 Ford Drive

INCIDENT DESCRIPTION: Police discovered the body of a female, allegedly a victim of stab wounds, in an apartment at 1990 Ford Drive. The death has been labeled a homicide. The investigation is ongoing.

SUSPECT(S) DESCRIPTION: No description available.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: No additional details on the victim who police said is not affiliated with the University are being released at this time. The delay in issuing this alert is because the crime was first reported to the Cleveland Police Department. University Circle police are assisting.
