WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY
DEPARTMENT OF PROTECTIVE SERVICES SECURITY ALERT The following incident did not occur on campus nor did it involve a student, staff or faculty member, but because of the proximity, CWRU Protective Services would like the campus community to be aware of the incident. THE FOLLOWING INCIDENT OCCURRED: at 10:43 p.m., Wednesday, May 28 TYPE OF INCIDENT: Aggravated robbery LOCATION OF INCIDENT: Mr. Hero restaurant, 11590 Euclid Ave. HOW INCIDENT OCCURRED: The first suspect entered Mr. Hero to buy a sandwich. He then left the restaurant but came back in wearing a mask. The suspect jumped the counter and pulled out a small, black semi-automatic pistol. He had a restaurant employee open the cash register drawer, then took the drawer with the money and fled. A second suspect had been standing outside the restaurant as a lookout. Both suspects fled on foot east on Euclid toward 117th Street. DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECTS: The first suspect is described as a black man, 6-foot, 160 pounds with a low hair cut, light facial hair and a medium to light complexion. The second suspect is described as a black man, 6-foot, wearing a black jacket. Both suspects were possibly in their mid-20s. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: No injuries were reported.
