CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY
DEPARTMENT OF PROTECTIVE SERVICES

CAMPUS ADVISORY

Due to the imminent prospect of war with Iraq and the related increase in the Homeland Security threat level to "High", the University is issuing an update on security measures and emergency response procedures. While the University has not been alerted to any specific threats to the campus, we want to assure the community that we remain vigilant in maintaining proactive security measures at this time of higher national alert.

Security and police patrols have been increased and building security will be closely monitored. Students, faculty and staff should go about their normal business, but should report any suspicious activity immediately to Protective Services at 368-3333. You should also be aware of abandoned parcels, bags, vehicles or other items.

We have updated our emergency procedures relative to evacuation of the campus. The link below will connect you with the campus evacuation procedure. Please review the procedure so you are familiar with the overall plan. As in any emergency, Protective Services will initiate communications and update you on any changes in the status of the evacuation. Whenever possible, you should stay where you are until communication is received.

Thank you for cooperation and support during these uncertain times.
