ALERT
The following incident did not occur on campus, and the victim is not affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. However, because of the proximity, Case Protective Services would like the university community to be aware of the incident.
THE INCIDENT OCCURRED AT: 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2004
TYPE OF INCIDENT: Robbery
LOCATION OF INCIDENT: RTA bus stop, Cedar Road loop
INCIDENT DESCRIPTION: A man was standing at the RTA bus stop on the Cedar Road loop when he was approached by three suspects, one of whom reached into the man's pocket and said, "Give everything to me." The suspect then punched the man twice on the side of the face. The man gave the suspect his cellular phone, then was able to get on an RTA bus and alerted the bus driver, who called RTA police. The three suspects were last seen traveling east on Euclid Avenue
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: All three suspects are described as black males in their late teens or early 20s and between 5''7" and 6' tall with medium builds. The first suspect was wearing a black hat, black t-shirt and black pants. The second suspect was wearing sweatpants, and the third suspect was wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The victim refused medical attention.
