  1. Getting access
Gym All current Case faculty, staff, and students are granted access to the Veale Center for the hours the facility is open. Non-Case persons may purchase a "Recreation Card" from the Intramural Office in Veale Center. Problems with access to Veale Center should be reported directly to Access Services at 368-CARD.
    Academic Buildings

All other access to any other facility is granted on an individual basis through the department(s) within the facility. To receive authorization to a particular facility or room, the department responsible for the area must request access be added to your ID card. Each area or department has one or more "Card Access Coordinators" who will make a written request to have access be added to your card. Cards are usually activated within 24 hours after Access Services received the request.

    School Specific Information
Note: Requests for access to the Health Science Complex are processed by the Facilities & Services Office in the Medical School.

Parking Parking access is automatically added to your card if you sign up for a lot where this is necessary. Valid permit holders may request that their cards be activated for some other parking areas after 5:00PM on weekdays and all hours on the weekends. Call Access Services at 368-CARD for more information.

  2. Lost/stolen ID's
All lost or stolen ID's must be reported to University Security so that they can be deactivated quickly. Contact Access Services (368-CARD Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00) for the procedure to obtain a replacement card.

  3. Inoperative cards
Contact Access Services (368-CARD) during normal business hours or University Security (368-3333) after hours and on weekends if your card does not work in a card access facility. They will check the card to verify that it has access to the area in question, as well as verifying the card number and any restrictions (days of the week, hours it maybe used, etc.). We will confirm that you have access or if the problem is with the card itself, they will direct you to Access Services to have the card reissued.

  4. Keys are cut by the Keyshop and may be picked up at Access Services located in Crawford Hall Room 18 or the BRB Security Desk.
