We are responsible for all of the landscaping and grounds maintenance at the
University. We also maintain all exterior athletic facilities. In severe
weather conditions we work 24 hr shifts. We install all outside banners,
prepare the campus for commencement and make arrangements for special events.
We also have a magazine called Nature Walk
that we provide to the campus community upon request. Nature
Walk will help acquaint you with features of the campus arboretum
through a self-guided tour. Trees and shrubs indicated on the maps are
identified on-site with informative markers.
This department is also responsible for all of the University's vehicles,
custodial and grounds equipment. They keep the vehicles moving and the
equipment operational, including getting AIMS test. They also spec new
vehicles leased or bought by the department and conduct an auction for
the disposal of old vehicles.
