The following custodial tasks are performed in the academic/administrative buildings:
DAILY ROUTINE TASKS
Classrooms:
- Clean chalkboards
- Police area, empty waste containers, replace liners if needed.
- Clean/dust sills and other surfaces. Such as tables, lecterns, etc.
- Dust mop floors to remove all dirt, dust and debris, wet mop all spills. Vacuum all traffic patterns.
- Rearrange allfurniture/desks in a neat orderly fashion.
- Spot clean carpet stains.
- CLOSE ALL WINDOWS
Offices:
- Empty trash and check or replace waste liners as necessary.
- Dust mop resilient floor, vacuum traffic patterns,
spot carpet and damp mop spills on hard surface floors.
- Wipe any spills on horizontal surfaces. (DO NOT TOUCH EQUIPMENT OR COMPUTERS)
- Spot clean carpet stains.
Laboratories:
- Empty waste containers, replace with clean liners.
- Dust mop floor, wet mop spills.
- DO NOT CLEAN COUNTER TOPS OR WORK BENCHES, EXCEPT UPON REQUEST.
Restrooms:
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, and urinals.
- Spot clean partitions/remove graffiti.
- Disinfect all horizontal surfaces.
- Clean mirrors and doors and spot clean wall surfaces.
- Replenish all paper products.
- Sweep floor, mop with a germicidal disinfectant.
- Vacuum any carpeted lounge areas
Stairwells:
- Police for loose debris and spills
Corridors:
- Empty waste containers and replace liners as necessary.
- Dust mop all hard surfaces floors.
- Vacuum any walk-off mats.
- Spot mop all hard surfaces.
- Vacuum all carpeted corridors.
- Spot clean carpet stains.
- Clean and disinfectant all water fountains
- Clean elevators
Conference Room/Lounges:
- Empty waste containers and replace liners as necessary.
- Dust and damp wipe all horizontal surfaces
- Clean all chalkboards and chalk trays.
- Dust mop all hard surfaces floors.
- Vacuum all carpeted, spot clean any stains.
- Spot clean doors.
Kitchen/Vending Areas:
- Empty waste containers and replace liners
- Spot clean all walls and doors
- Wash all table tops and horizontal surfaces.
- Damp wipe exterior of the refrigerator or stove.
- Clean interior and exterior of microwave.
- Sweep floor/vacuum carpet.
- Wet mop all hard surface floors.
Custodial Closets:
- Restock cart, store supplies neatly.
- Clean all equipment.
- Clean slop sinks.

WEEKLY ROUTINE TASKS
- Wet mop all hard surface floors 100% edge to edge
- Vacuum all carpet 100% edge to edge
- Clean desk/table tops of all marks and graffiti
- Low dust under vents, desks, tables, etc.
- High dust corners, shelving, vents, etc.
- Wet mop hard surface floors in corridors; buff using a high speed machine and a white pad.
- Spot clean walls and doors with neutral cleaner
- Spot clean all glass in doors, trophy cases, bulletin boards, etc.
- Flush floor drains once per week
- Disinfect all partitions in restrooms with a germicidal cleaner
- Wet mop all stairs and landings.

MONTHLY ROUTINE TASKS
- Wash all walls in restrooms using a germicidal cleaner.
- Machine scrub all restroom floors using a germicidal cleaner.
- Dust window blinds.
- Bonnet clean high traffic areas in corridors, classrooms and lobby/entranceways.
- Extract all mats in entranceways.

ANNUAL ROUTINE TASKS
- Strip and refinish floors in offices, labs, lounges, etc.
- Wash walls in offices, corridors, lounges, etc.
- Dust and damp wipe all light fixtures and other stationary fixtures.
- Shampoo all carpet
