Southside housekeeping includes Fribley Commons; student residential office and food service facility
The following custodial tasks are performed in the
residence halls/fraternities:
Clean public areas daily; restrooms, lobbies, kitchens, suite living areas, elevators and residential offices to include removing all trash, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, cleaning appliances and countertops in kitchens and laundry rooms, wet mopping hard surface floors and vacuuming suites.
Clean showers, stairwells, lobby floors, vents, baseboards, vending machines weekly; to include scrubbing and disinfecting shower walls curtains and rods, damp wiping vents, baseboards and vending machines. Also buff all hard surface floors bimonthly.
Shampoo all carpet once a year.
Clean lounge furniture two (2) times per year.
Refinish all hard surface floors two (2) times per year.
Special Services in the residence halls/fraternities:
Provide six (6 ) day housekeeping service for Clarke Tower.
Provide extensive deep cleaning during summer and winter breaks only in specific areas.
SPECIAL REQUEST CLEANING: Any cleaning requests that are not routinely scheduled for the residence halls i.e. Additional carpet shampooing, floor refinishing, additional cleaning for summer programs, etc. Will be completed if at all possible. These request will be coordinated through the Housing Office at ext.1010 or 2783 for the northside and 1011 or 3788 for the southside housing. Please schedule your special request as far in advance as possible in order that we continue to maintain CWRU residential areas in a high quality manner.
