Development and Learning Opportunities

We believe that employees need to continually develop their skills in order to support the university's success. Organizational Development and Learning (ODL) provides educational programs and workshops that foster leadership and skill development by offering a variety of workshops designed to enhance continual professional growth.

*** L.E.A.D. (Learn, Empower, Achieve, Develop) Certificate Program for Supervisors ***


Today's leader understands that most professionals respond more positively to reason and inspiration rather than a supervisor who barks orders. L.E.A.D. is an intensive ten-month cohort program, participation is limited to 15 participants annually. The program is designed to strategically help you develop essential leadership competencies through a variety of workshops, individual and team coaching, assigned readings, assessments and networking.

* Participants must be in a supervisory role (staff) to qualify for the program.

* Attendees are encouraged to bring lunches; refreshments will be provided.


* Please note: These meetings are intended for the collection of qualitative data to aid in the design of a training program. Participants will be asked about their needs, opinions, and attitudes towards their professional development, and discussion will take place in an interactive group setting where participants are free to talk with other group members. 




Lunch and learn seminars are brown bag lunchtime programs designed for the CWRU community. The series will feature engaging speakers that will provide participants with resources and information in an informal setting.
