Sally J. Staley
Chief Investment Officer

Sally Staley became Chief Investment Officer in 2006. She joined the Office of Investments at Case Western Reserve University in 2002 with a background of many years in financial markets and investment management. She began her career in international bond market research and institutional sales with Salomon Brothers and Merrill Lynch followed by a move to investment management at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board where she established the public pension fund's international fixed income program and managed an international bond portfolio.
Sally later worked as Senior Consultant with the investment management consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. In her current role as Chief Investment Officer at Case, Sally participates in all strategic decisions on manager and fund selection, asset allocation, risk assessment, rebalancing, and spending. She also directs the Endowment's allocations to private capital, marketable alternatives, and real assets. She holds a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of Wooster.
Donzetta L. Darden

Donzetta Darden joined the Office of Investments in 1999. She handles the University's daily cash reports and transfers, provides administrative assistance, and manages the office. She is also studying at the University for her Bachelor of Arts degree.
Anthony Fatica

Tony has worked for the University since 1982 and with the Office of Investments since 1999. He is responsible for overseeing reporting and administrative issues with custodian banks, trustees and investment managers, and for consolidating investment reports from many sources into the data that form the basis for investment decisions by Investment Staff and Investment Committee. He is also responsible for facilitating gifts of stock to the University.
Tony holds multiple degrees from Case: a BS in Accounting, an MA in Political Science, and an MBA in Finance.
Jason A. Hart

Jason joined the Office of Investments in 2002. His work focuses on hedge funds, private capital and real assets and includes screening potential funds and managers, evaluating current investment advisors, constructing portfolios, monitoring market conditions, and participating in the investment decision process. He has prior experience in wealth management with Chess Financial Corp of Cleveland and in mutual fund pricing with State Street Corp of Boston . Jason has a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and MBA from the Weatherhead School of Business at Case Western Reserve University.
Anjum T. Hussain, CFA, CAIA

Anjum joined the Office of Investments in 2006. He oversees the functions that are integral to risk management as they relate to; investments, operations, technology systems, data management, and reporting. He is responsible for the asset allocation/risk budgeting process (building and deploying various quantitative models). He is also actively involved in manager reviews, performance and style tracking, determining the manager fit within the context of the overall portfolio and in decisions to hire/terminate managers. Additionally, he is responsible for identifying, researching and implementing hedging and tail risk management strategies as well as alpha overlay strategies, using derivative and/or structured products. He is also active in developing in-house proprietary systems to facilitate risk management and measurement, stress testing and endowment reporting.
He has prior experience as an Investment Analyst with Oberlin College, Financial Consultant with Smith Barney, Portfolio Manager Associate/Equity Research Analyst with Victory Capital Management (Key Bank), Managing Director Technology and Operations with Victory Capital Management (Key Bank) and various other Technology related roles with the Trust Divisions of Key Bank and its predecessors Society and Ameritrust. Anjum holds a MBA in Finance from the Weatherhead School of Business at Case, a MA in Economics from the University of Akron and a BA in Economics from the University of Bombay, in India. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charter Holder. He also holds the Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor) license.
Timothy R. Milanich

Tim joined the Office of Investments as Director of Private Investment in 2007. He is responsible for the sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of all private investments, which include private equity, real estate and real assets. Tim also assists the Chief Investment Officer with manager/fund selection, asset allocation decisions and evaluation of current market conditions in all targeted asset classes. Prior to Case, he was with National City Bank's Private Client Group, where he was responsible for identifying, selecting and monitoring both traditional and alternative managers for investment by National City's clients. Prior to National City, Tim worked as an investment analyst with Parkwood, a family office located in Cleveland, Ohio. He also has experience as a junior portfolio manager in New York with Citigroup Asset Management. Tim holds both his BS and MBA in Finance from Fordham University.
