Case Western Reserve’s “Combined Endowment” includes both those funds that the university directly controls as well as funds held by others—that is, accounts handled by external entities such as foundations, businesses or other private organizations. A unit of the Division of Finance, the Office of Investments manages the university’s funds in accordance with the policies and direction of the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees. The Office of Donor Relations coordinates communication with individuals and organizations with endowment funds.
Each year, the university provides an annual report that details overall developments within the university and also provides financial information. In addition, the Division of Finance issues complete financial statements—including audited figures—and the university publishes endowment reports as well.
