Case Western Reserve University rarely closes. In the event of difficult conditions and severe weather—from thunderstorms and damaging winds in summer to snowstorms and windchills in winter—every effort is made to keep the university in operation, including regularly scheduled classes, food service, residence hall support, ongoing research activities and normal business functions.
The university will remain open until the administration communicates a closing.
For official closing information, the University will utilize the Rave Alert System. Also stay tuned into Cleveland-area radio and television stations, and their websites, as well as the Case Western Reserve home page, which will post up-to-the-minute details about the university's closing situation.
The Case Western Reserve University Weather Station provides real-time weather data for the University Circle area, including temperature, wind, humidity and precipitation.
