Case Western Reserve University is committed to the health and safety of its students, faculty, staff and those who visit campus.
From disaster preparedness to public safety communications, the university’s Office of Emergency Management focuses on improving the quality of life on campus. The emergency management office works closely with police and campus security, occupational safety and other campus management centers to help prepare for, protect against, respond to and recover from any and every crisis situation.
Emergencies can develop anywhere, anytime, without warning. They range from natural disasters to chemical spills to armed intruders. Case Western Reserve's emergency management office communicates with the univresity community and works directly with first responders, including university police and security services, to ensure students, faculty, staff and visitors are ready if or when the time comes on campus.
The office also mobilizes a community response team of employees who are trained to assist during emergencies.
