Travel Services

 

Travel Services handles policy administration hotel and car rental discount programs and the audit and reimbursement of travel expenditures. Travel Requisition, Statement of Travel Expense , and the Employee/Student Participant forms are available on-line.

MILEAGE UPDATE FOR 2008

Beginning Jan. 1, 2008, the IRS standard mileage rates for the use of a car (including vans, pickups or panel trucks) will be:

  • 50.5 cents per mile for business miles driven
The new rate for business miles compares to a rate of 48.5 cents per mile for 2007. The university policy is to reimburse at the IRS rate.

U.S.A. Sets Jan. 23 as Passport Deadline

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Department of State have announced that effective Jan. 23, 2007, all citizens of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda must present a valid unexpired passport to enter the United States when arriving by air from any part of the Western Hemisphere. This applies to all travelers including children and infants.   Plan ahead, as No passport means no travel.   The passport issuance process can take 4-6 weeks.  Additional information can be found through HTTP://Travel.State.Gov.
