Boyd Kumher

Boyd joined the Finance Division in 2010. He is responsible for the effective operation of the Compliance Program in accordance with the work plan established by the University's Executive Compliance Committee.

Prior to joining Case Western Reserve University, he spent 13 years employed by The MetroHealth System. There he gained experience in the management of complex compliance issues while he worked his way from staff nurse in a Level One trauma center to the position of associate compliance officer for the entire regional system. During that period he held positions as Director for Clinical Research, Director of Risk Management, and System Privacy Officer.

Boyd holds a bachelor of science in nursing from Kent State University and is a registered nurse in the state of Ohio. He is a 2008 Fellow of the non-profit University Health System Consortium's Patient Safety and Quality Fellowship program. Boyd also holds a master of business administration and a master of project management; he earned both degrees with distinction from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
