The Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University participate in an integrated music program at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Center for Music and Technology provides access to a variety of computers and databases from around the country, as well as ideas and research shared with colleagues around the world. This annual early music performance series features artists from throughout the world and from Case's own distinguished faculty. Concerts are preceded by informal discussions of compositions, techniques, and instruments by the performers themselves. Listings appear in campus and public media. The Department of Theater and Dance produces four plays in Eldred Theater each academic year. Additionally graduate students in the Cleveland Playhouse-Case Theater Ensemble perform at the Cleveland Play House. Single tickets for the Ensemble productions will be sold at The Cleveland Play House (216-795-7000) beginning one month in advance of each production. Both plays will be presented in the Brooks Theatre at The Cleveland Play House, East 85th Street. and Euclid Avenue, located on the western edge of University Circle.

Music students at Case and the Cleveland Institute of Music perform many times each year in concerts that are generally open to the public. In addition to special recitals, there are two jazz ensembles, Symphonic Winds, the University Circle Wind Ensemble, the University Circle Chorale, the University Circle Chamber Choir, the University Singers, the Baroque Orchestra, the Collegium Musicum, including the Early Music Singers, and the University Circle Chamber Orchestra. At 91.1 MHZ on the dial, this 1,000-watt student-operated radio station boasts the highest diversity of programming on the Cleveland radio dial. WRUW broadcasts over 75 different shows every week featuring jazz, rock of every sort, classical, country, folk, reggae and blues taken from a library collection of over 90,000 recordings, as well as live concerts and public affairs presentations.
