Since the adoption of the first master plan in 1988, Case Western Reserve University has invested more than $350 million in capitol improvements. In 2001, Case Western Reserve University developed and approved a second master plan to initiate a new path of development that includes new and renovated facilities for academic programs as well as new student residential space. The new plan has an estimated cost of $500 million and envisions a campus that is more integrated with the University's neighboring communities and institutions.
