When did Whiting Turner begin a professional relationship with Case Western Reserve University?
  • Our first project was for the School of Dental Medicine Dental Simulation Lab from 5/02 to 10/02
  • Along with our Minority Partner, Bradley Construction, we were awarded the North Residential Village project in February 2003. NRV is the largest construction project ever taken on by Case. We are currently on schedule for completion in Fall of 2005.
What goals have you accomplished so far?
  • We have awarded close to $40 million of work to female and minority contractors on the North Residential Village
  • We consistently achieve 27% minority and female workforce participation.
  • We mentored 45 minority and female subcontractors owned businesses.
  • We are currently mentoring 17 seniors from Shaw High School.
What accomplishments are you most proud of on the North Residential Village?
  • Helping Case gain recognition in the community and beyond for the Minority/Female program we have put together and accomplished for this project.
  • Being a part of the pilot project to help integrate Case and the Community.
  • Expanding our subcontractor database to include minority and female contractors we have not previously used before.
  • Well exceeding our minority and female subcontracting goals.
