Commencement 2008
The University Commencement will take place
on Sunday, May 18, 2008 beginning with the Commencement Convocation at 9:30 a.m. in the Veale Center, followed immediately
by the undergraduate diploma ceremony. Other diploma ceremonies will take place throughout the day at various locations (see Ceremony and Schedule information).
Robing for trustees marching with the platform party for the University Convocation will be at 8:00 a.m. in the Toepfer Room, Adelbert Hall. Continental breakfast will be available. Security is provided until noon, so belongings may be left in the room.
Reserved tickets for the convocation ceremony and parking passes are available for trustees who choose not to participate in the academic procession and for guests of trustees. These tickets can be requested using the online registration form. Online registration is available through Friday, April 25, 2008.
Those who attend the Convocation but do not wish to attend the undergraduate diploma ceremony, as well as students
of the graduate and professional schools, will leave Veale Center at the end of the Convocation (approximately 10:45 a.m.) Others will
remain in their seats for the undergraduate diploma ceremony.
Academic Regalia
Academic regalia is required for those marching in the academic procession, including official delegates, faculty, administrators, trustees, and platform guests.
Regalia will be furnished to trustees at no cost. Using the online registration form, indicate whether or not you will need the University to provide your regalia.
