The university commencement will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2014, beginning with the commencement convocation at 9:30 a.m. in the Veale Convocation Center, followed immediately by the undergraduate diploma ceremony. Other diploma ceremonies will take place throughout the day at various locations. Line up for the morning ceremonies at Amasa Stone Chapel is at 8:30 a.m.
Faculty and administration who march in the convocation procession but do not wish to attend the undergraduate diploma ceremony, as well as students of the graduate and professional schools, will leave Veale Convocation Center at the end of the convocation (approximately 10:45 a.m.). Others will remain in their seats.
Faculty members can register now to participate in commencement.
Academic regalia is required for those marching in the academic procession, including official delegates, faculty, administrators, trustees and platform guests. All delegates are requested to provide their own academic regalia. All Case Western Reserve University faculty planning to march in the convocation procession will need to obtain their own regalia from the University Bookstore. The deadline to rent/purchase academic regalia for commencement 2014 is Monday, April 7, 2014. The bookstore will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, May 12 through Thursday, May 15, Friday May 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 18, commencement day, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
