University Convocation
Campus-wide ceremony designed for all Case Western Reserve University graduates.
The University President confers degrees to students as a group at this ceremony.
Tickets are required for your guests. Each graduate will receive 2 tickets for this ceremony if tickets were ordered online by April 1, 2009. August 2008 and January 2009 graduates will receive tickets via US mail after April 17, 2009. May 2009 and August 2009 candidates will pick up tickets at MSASS after April 17.
MSASS Diploma Exercises
Graduates are individually recognized.
NO tickets are required for this ceremony.
Guests should arrive at the Temple around 11:00 a.m. to be seated. Appropriate Attire
Graduates must wear Case Western Reserve University academic regalia (gown, hood, and mortarboard) to participate in the procession and ceremonies. We will be walking to Veale Center for the University Convocation and Temple Tifereth for our diploma exercises: wear comfortable shoes!
No adornment of any kind is worn outside the robe or cap and no item (i.e. purse or backpack) may be carried. A small fanny pack worn under the gown around the waist is a good solution to carry such items as keys, comb, money, and personal identification.
Photographs
A professional photographer from Chappell Studios will take pictures of each graduate receiving his or her diploma from the Dean. Graduates will receive a free proof of this photo in the mail, along with information on how to purchase additional prints. Photographer Release Form
Diplomas
Graduates who are unable to attend the diploma ceremony will receive their diplomas via U.S. certified mail following Commencement. Diplomas will be mailed to the forwarding address provided by the student on their graduation application.
