University Marshal

Commencement Day Robin Dubin is the University Marshal.

Marching in Commencement 2008 academic processions

The University Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2008 beginning with the Commencement Convocation at 9:30 a.m. in the Veale Center, followed immediately by the undergraduate diploma ceremony. Other diploma ceremonies will take place throughout the day at various locations (see Ceremony and Schedule information). Line up for the morning ceremonies at Amasa Stone Chapel is at 8:30 a.m.

Faculty and Administration, who march in the Convocation procession but do not wish to attend the undergraduate diploma ceremony, as well as students of the graduate and professional schools, will leave Veale Center at the end of the Convocation (approximately 10:45 a.m.) Others will remain in their seats.

Online registration is open from March 1, 2008 8:00am EST until May 10, 2008 5:00pm EDT.

Academic Regalia

CWRU Faculty Academic regalia is required for those marching in the academic procession, including official delegates, faculty, administrators, trustees, and platform guests. All delegates are requested to provide their own academic regalia. All Case Western Reserve University faculty planning to march in the Convocation procession will need to obtain their own regalia from the University Bookstore. The deadline to rent/purchase academic regalia for Commencement 2008 is Friday, April 4, 2008. Please contact the Bookstore directly at (216) 368-2650 for details and pricing.

University Bookstore

Academic regalia may be rented from the Case Western Reserve University Bookstore. To rent or purchase academic regalia for May 18, 2008 you must place your order with the Bookstore no later than Friday, April 4, 2008. For further information, contact Ann Rossi-Smerglia at the Bookstore, (216) 368-2650.

The Bookstore will be open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the week prior to Commencement. It will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the Saturday before Commencement, and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Commencement Day.
