UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER TRI-MEET...
CLEVELAND, OH (October 29th, 2007)- Freshman Marine Gu (Longwood, FL) had two first place finishes as the Case Western Reserve University women’s swim team split two dual meets at the University of Rochester Tri-Meet in Rochester, NY. The Spartans defeated the University of Rochester 161-136, but lost to New York University 217-82.
Gu placed first overall in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle with times of 25.61 and 55.56, respectively. Junior Janine Machala (North Olmstead, OH) placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:34.35.
Case Western Reserve hosts their annual Veale Classic on November ninth and 10th at the Veale Center Natatorium in Cleveland, Ohio.
