CLEVELAND, OH (January 27, 2007) -
The Case Western Reserve University women’s swimming and diving team lost 132-81 at Wittenberg University today. The Spartans host the 2007 University Athletic Association Championships February 8-10 at Case. 
Junior Lauren Preyss (Chagrin Falls, OH) won the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.96, NCAA "B" cut)) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.69), while sophomore Janine Machala (North Olmsted, OH-pictured) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.79).
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Preyss, sophomore Lisa McHale (Ridgefield, CT), junior Becca Winarski (Germantown, WI) and freshman Christine Petzold (Westfield, IN) won with a time of 1:42.27.
