CLEVELAND, OH (January 20, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University women lost to fellow UAA rival, The University of Rochester, this afternoon 145-92 at home. 
In their last home meet of the season, the Spartans wanted to make the most of it. Junior standout Lauren Preyss (Chagrin Falls, OH-pictured) won both the 50-yard freestyle (24.52) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:02.88). Freshman Christine Petzold (Bowie, MD) took first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.97), and sophomore Janine Machala won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:31.25). The Spartans 400-yard freestyle relay team comprised of sophomore Brittany Kelly (Denver, CO), junior Becca Winarski (Germantown, WI), junior Heather Furman (Schenectady, NY), and senior Camilla Cullis (Shaker Heights, OH) won with a time of 3:54.79.
The Spartans will travel to Wittenberg University next Saturday at 1:00 pm.
